Easter festivities!

We began Easter morning with breakfast (made by Nate -thanks babe!) and the opening of their baskets that I stuffed with goodies the night before. My mom always put together gorgeous easter baskets for us and I have tried to continue the tradition for my girls. It is always fun to see the excitement on their faces!
We then headed off to church, the church we will be attending on a regular basis once we move. :) We have made some wonderful friends in V.A. and were so blessed to be invited to spend Easter with dear friends. Thank you guys!!! We had a blast!

Me and my amiga - Katie :)

My honey and I ;)

Before we knew it, it was time for the big hunt! All the kiddos gathered in the entryway, ready to make a mad dash for the eggs.
The egg hunt was divided into half - one for the older and one for the toddlers.
However, Mya was unaware of this crucial =) fact and asked her daddy to be on her egg hunting team. I don't think anyone else had a "team" and I think that was part of her strategy!

The day was beautiful! Perfect day for an egg hunt! Go gettem' girls!

Counting the eggs, enjoying the booty...

Slaeter did not participate in the hunt, but had his fair shair of fun.

Even daddy got in on a little competitive game of volleyball...

We had so much fun! Highlights for the girlies: Eating candy, hunting for eggs, eating candy, playing with friends, eating candy, watching cartoons, eating candy... you get the idea.
The girls made themselves at home... I guess we all did. :) We hope we didn't overstay our welcome because it was such a blessing to be a part of the fun!
