Let the good times roll...

The "good times " will continue, not matter what the future may bring because our joy comes not from our circumstances, but from He who gives and takes away. Our eternal security rests in a God who is changeless, who's promises endure forever. I remind myself to praise His name in ALL circumstances! This is why In Christ Alone is my first song on my playlist. I love the words to this hymn. (side note: check out Natalie Grant's version!)
As this Thanksgiving holiday rapidly approaches and the future of our economy and nation is uncertain, I am thankful for all the non-eternal, pleasant, and darn right fun senseless moments to enjoy while living on earth. Some of these moments are a product of the kiddos funny words, phrases, faces... seeing them accomplish new feats brings us joy. Kids have a way of giving us some really good laughs, "good times". I think God places kids in our lives to not only develop character and teach us responsibility, but also to remind us not to take life too seriously.
This past week, Slaeter has given the phrase "Let the good times roll" a whole new meaning. ;) Well, almost... he is now flipping from back to stomach on a regular basis and I know it is only a matter time before he pulls a 360. It is funny to hold a boy and feel the strength, the solidness to his structure. He is already trying to keep up with his sisters and hates to be left behind. He always wants to be in on their fun and soaks in all the attention they give him. When he has had his fill of their high-pitched excited squeals and constant kisses, he lets us know. It is so funny to me, that it seems he prefers to take naps on the living room floor. It's like he wants to be with everyone, hear the noise, although asleep. I try to make him take some naps in his crib, so he gets some good rest. This is what he is doing right now- sleeping. Below are pictures of Audrey playing with her baby "Slader".
Audrey's latest "thing" is to tag on the word "riiiiight?" to almost every sentence. Do I say that?=) "This is Dora RIIIIIIIGHT?" " That's yours RIIIIIGHT?" ....

He was lovin' it!
I encourage you enjoy the "good times" God blesses you with today!
